One to One Training and Behavioural Consultations

One to one training is available for those who need a little extra help, or simply those dogs who would not do well in a class environment for any reason.

We cannot accept any dogs in the group classes who are aggressive to either other dogs, or people. In these circumstances one to one training may be more appropriate. Please contact us for advice.

Behaviour consultations are available for any kind of problem you may be experiencing with your cat or dog such as
Jumping up
Aggression
Inappropriate toileting
Excessive barking
Fears and anxieties
Separation problems
Predatory behaviour
Obsessive/compulsive behaviour
Guarding behaviour
This list is not exhaustive and if you are experiencing any other problem with your pet please contact me for advice.
There are unfortunately no quick fixes for behaviour problems and you should expect to have to put in time daily towards your pets rehabilitation and be aware that any progress may be slow and it may be impossible to completely cure certain problems but we aim to improve every case we see and give you the tools to be able to understand and manage your pets problem so that you can enjoy a long and happy relationship.
Behaviour consultations are done on veterinary referral only, this is to ensure that any underlying medical problem isnt contributing to the behaviour problem of your animal. Once your pet has been given the all clear then a consultation can be arranged. It is generally advisable to see you and your pet at home where his/her behaviour can be properly assessed.
The initial consultation will generally last between 1-2 hours where a detailed history will be taken and a plan devised which will help both you and your animal.
Following the inital consultation a written report will be sent to you detailing the plan of action. A subsequent consultation will then be arranged if appropriate.
Full support will be given in between consultations via phone or email.
The cost of the initial consultation will be £45 which will include any follow up consultations. An additional fee will be charged if the distance is more than 15 miles outside of Durham city centre.
